RT Math Kids

Introduction to math for kids.

•Ages 4-6 Can complete without assistance.
•Age 3 Can complete with minimal assistance after directions are given. 
•Age 2 Can complete with adult assistance.

Comparison activities help kids develop visual memory skills and recognition of different objects features. Pattern recognition levels require kids to observe and continue patterns, which will help them for learning to recognize numbers. Number recognition, drawing numbers and counting levels prepare preschool children for grade school level.

Realistic Grass Simulation

Animation of this grass was provided in the form of a simple sine wave that takes in different frequencies based on the x and z coordinates of the patch. Also, the color changed slightly as the grass swayed from one direction to the other.The instancing method places the patches in a way to display the grass in the field of view while concealing the rest of the scene that is not in the field of view.

Using trigonometry is simple and elegant. The terrain contour was determined by the x and y coordinates. This is advantageous in that it is incredibly fast and smooth but it is deterministic.

Global TD

Global TD is a multiplayer tower defense game for an iPhone that uses Google Maps API.

The main challenge here was to use Google Maps API (UI View) with Cocos 2D(Eagle View) (ex. retrieving way points from Google Maps and converting them into the cocos 2D coordinate system, adjusting aforementioned points when zooming or panning). Also creating Server - Client network architecture.

Dead Land - 3d person shooter

This game is a top-down 3rd-person shooter. Your goal in the game is to survive as long as you can against the waves of monsters and zombies. There are 3 waves of increasing monsters, followed by one wave that finishes when the player is killed. To aid the player in his/her goal, the player can purchase more powerful weapons in a shop that pops up after a wave is finished.

The game is built in C++(Visual Studio 2010) using existing Gamepipe Game Engine based on Ogre3D and Havok.
